A voluntary recall of three types of bottled beverages has been initiated by Wawa because of “potential foreign object contamination.”
Recalled units have been sold in New Jersey.
A total of 2,934 beverage units were recalled in what the U.S. Food and Drug Administration classifies as a Class II recall. This means that the product can cause temporary or medically reversible health consequences. The probability of serious consequences is remote, but not impossible.
In addition to units being distributed in New Jersey, these units were also sent to Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.
The following products have been recalled:
- Wawa Strawberry Lemonade, in 16-ounce plastic bottles. The code date is Nov. 7. The Universal Product Code is 007626191018982. A total of 2,750 units were distributed.
