Ventura Foods Recalls Over 20,000 Peanut Butter Products

by | Feb 24, 2026 | Product Liability

A voluntary recall has been issued for peanut butter across much of the nation, with more than 20,000 products flagged for possible foreign materials.

The recall was first initiated in April, but was updated Feb. 12 to reflect a change in severity.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is now calling the recall a Class II recall, which means use of these products may cause “temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.”

Included in the recall are a variety of peanut butter products that were produced by Ventura Foods LLC.

According to the FDA, pieces of blue plastic were found in a filter during production, leading to the risk of foreign materials in the peanut butter.

Recalled peanut butter products were sent to 40 states, including New Jersey and the nearby states of New York and Pennsylvania.

Products in the recall include single-use peanut butter packs and peanut butter and jelly combo packs.

Many of the effected products were Poco Pac peanut butter distributed by DYMA brands. Other recalled products were distributed by US Foods, Gordon Food Service and Sysco Corp.

if you or a loved one suffered losses due to consuming these or any Ventura Foods product, you may be entitled to compensation. To learn more, contact the trusted attorneys at Breslin and Breslin today.
