Ford is issuing yet another recall, and this time its for its popular line of pickup trucks.
The automaker, in its third recall in recent weeks, is recalling 115,539 F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty pickups that are of the 2020 and 2021 model years.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the reason for the recall is the steering column upper shaft may detach from the steering column, causing a loss of steering control.
No injuries or accidents have been reported to date.
Ford first learned of the issue in late June when it was brought to the attention of the automaker’s Critical Concern Review Group.
Dealerships have already been notified about the recall and the fix for the issue.
Owners should receive an initial notification about the recall between Oct. 6-10. A second letter will be sent to owners about a final fix the last week of 2025.
