FDA Recalls Over 2 Million Granola Bars Sold in NJ

by | Feb 20, 2025 | Product Liability

The Food and Drug Administration has made a stark update to a December recall of millions of granola bars from MadeGood, warning customers they “may contain metal pieces,” according to the agency.

The FDA’s updated recall comes after Chicago-based Riverside Natural Food, an organic snack manufacturer, voluntarily recalled certain products in December due to possible contamination and the possible adverse health risk associated with ingesting the baked oat bars.

The FDA boosted the recall status to Class II, which refers to products that could cause temporary or medically reversible health consequences, according to the agency. It is more serious than Class III, which is likely not to cause adverse health consequences.

MadeGood products are sold nationwide and often found in retail stores across New Jersey, including Walmart, Target and Whole Foods, as well as at multiple convenience stores and on Amazon.

If you or a loved one has suffered losses due to consuming these, or any MadeGood product, you may be entitled to compensation. To learn more, contact the trusted personal injury attorneys at Breslin and Breslin today.
