Wegmans Recalls Products with Fresh Greens due to Salmonella Concern

On Behalf of | Jan 30, 2023 | (client-fulfilled) Product Liability

Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. issued a voluntary recall on products containing fresh greens due to potential salmonella contamination, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

No illnesses related to the recall have been reported. The grocery store issued the recall “out of an abundance of caution.”

“We are voluntarily recalling these products because some of the soil they were grown in, supplied to Wegmans Organic Farm by bio365 of Ithaca, New York, tested positive for salmonella by the supplier,” Wegmans said.

The FDA recall stated that the affected products included micro greens, sweet pea leaves and cat grass.

The products were sold at various stores in seven states, including New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina.

If you or a loved one has suffered losses due to ingesting this, or any Wegmans product, you may be entitled to compensation. To learn more, contact the trusted and experienced product liability attorneys today.
