A Message for Our Clients Who Were Injured at Camp Lejeune

On Behalf of | Sep 6, 2022 | Firm News

We have received a number of calls from persons who are met with solicitations from lawyers seeking to represent them for injuries related to Camp Lejuene, looking for advice.

To make certain that our affected clients and others receive the best possible representation, we decided to team up with our friends at Cohen, Placitella & Roth, a highly regarded law firm that is nationally known for representing military families in toxic injury cases as well as veterans with service-related disabilities.

Not only has Cohen Placitella & Roth obtained some of the largest trial verdicts in the country in toxic injury cases, they have a demonstrated commitment to veterans and their families outside the court room. For more than a decade Cohen, Placitella & Roth has worked with former marine officers in building and supporting the Veteran’s Career Transition Program, which is dedicated to helping veterans leaving active duty find jobs. They also started and support “Semper Fie Santa,” which helps military families struggling financially, especially during the holidays.

Many lawyers advertising on TV are charging contingency fees of 40% of the recovery. We are not comfortable with that, given the sacrifices that our veterans have made in the service of our country. Accordingly, we made the decision to limit our fee to 1/3 of the recovery.

If you or a member of your family lived or worked at Camp Lejeune between 1953 and 1987 and suffered certain illnesses or injuries, you may be entitled to compensation.
