Starburst, Skittles and Life Savers Recalled Over Metal Contamination Concern

On Behalf of | May 31, 2022 | (client-fulfilled) Personal Injury, (client-fulfilled) Product Liability, Personal Injury, Product Liability

Mars Wrigley Confectionery US has voluntarily recalled certain types of Starburst, Skittles and Life Savers gummies because metal might be “embedded” in the product or “loose in the bag.

Consumers reported the matter to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), but so far, the administration has not confirmed reports of injuries or illnesses from the tainted products.

A third party manufactured the products and distributed them throughout Canada, Mexico and the U.S., according to the FDA.

Mars Wrigley says it is working with retailers to remove the affected products from store shelves. There is no estimate on how many packages could be involved.

If you or a loved one suffered losses due to ingesting these, or any, Mars Wrigley products, you may be entitled to compensation. To learn more, contact the trusted attorneys at Breslin and Breslin today.
