DiGiorno brand owner Nestle has recalled 27,872 pounds of frozen pepperoni pizza due to the pizza containing soy protein, a known allergen that was not declared on the pizza box’s label, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced Monday.
The affected product is DiGiorno Crispy Pan Crust pepperoni pizza, with a lot code 1181510721 printed on its carton. The sell by date on the carton is March 2022.
The agency said that the affected pizzas were sold at retail locations across the country.
