On Behalf of | Jun 25, 2017 | Personal Injury

The New Jersey personal injury attorneys at Breslin and Breslin are reporting that, for the second month in a row, Trader Joe’s has recalled a brand of its ice cream — this time out of concerns that it may be contaminated with small pieces of metal. Again, if you or a loved one has been injured or made ill by a Trader Joe’s product, you may be entitled to compensation. The company issued a recall notice on June 10 for its brand of Matcha Green Tea flavored ice cream, according to a statement posted on the company’s website.

Though no injuries or illnesses have been reported so far, the retailer is urging consumers not to eat the product and to discard it or return it to any Trader Joe’s location for a full refund.

The company said all potentially affected products have been removed from store shelves and destroyed.

To determine if you may have purchased the recalled product, you can look for the SKU number 055740 on the brand of ice cream.

In New Jersey, there is a time limit on filing a personal injury claim. Therefore, it is in your best interest to contact an attorney immediately if you think you may have been injured or made ill by this, or any, Trader Joe’s product.
