On Behalf of | Dec 31, 2017 | Product Liability

Superior Importers has recalled about 6,200 mattresses that the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said did not meet a mandatory federal flammability standard.

While no incidents or injuries have been reported, the CPSC has advised consumers to immediately stop using the recalled mattresses and contact Superior Importers or the place of purchase for instructions on how to receive a free mattress cover that will bring the mattress into compliance with the federal standard.

The recall involves the Home Life Basic 6-inch and Basic 8-inch mattress models sold in twin, full, queen and king sizes. The recalled mattresses are a combination of ivory, tan and gray. “Made for Superior Importers company, 502 Jersey Avenue, New Brunswick, N.J. 08901, is printed on a white tag located on the top side near the foot of the mattress.

If you or a loved one has been injured by a defective product, you may be entitled to compensation. To find out more, contact the trusted product liablity attorneys at Breslin and Breslin today.
