The Civil Trial Bar Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) will honor Donald A. Caminiti, Esquire with its James J. McLaughlin Award on Thursday, February 26th. The 2014 McLaughlin Award Dinner will be held at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick, beginning at 6 p.m.
The James J. McLaughlin Award is presented annually by the NJSBA’s Civil Trial Bar Section to an attorney and/or judge recognized for demonstrating civility, legal competence and professionalism in the practice of civil trial law.
A graduate of State University of New Jersey School of Law, Rutgers, Donald Caminiti has been practicing law for more than 35 years. As a partner at his Hackensack, New Jersey, firm — Breslin & Breslin, P.A. — Mr. Caminiti has dedicated his practice to the areas of negligence, including general negligence, medical malpractice and defective products.
Mr. Caminiti is certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a civil trial attorney, by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a civil trial advocate and by the American Board of Trial Advocates as an advocate. He was distinguished by inclusion as one of “Ten Leaders” by Personal Injury & Trial Law of Northern New Jersey and is a member of Outstanding Lawyers of America.
In addition to his practice, Mr. Caminiti has held numerous classes and seminars on the subject of legal responsibility and liability, litigation techniques, trial strategy and trial preparation. He has presented before the American Association for Justice, the New Jersey Association for Justice, the Institute for Continuing Legal Education and the National College of Advocacy.
Last year, Mr. Caminiti was awarded the Bergen County Bar Foundation Lawyer Achievement Award.
