The personal injury attorneys at Breslin and Breslin would like to help spread the word of a chicken cutlet recall in New Jersey.

A company based in Fairfield, New Jersey is recalling over 8,000 pounds of chicken cutlets because of possible listeria contamination.

The FDA announced the recall by Tnuva USA on Wednesday. The potentially contaminated product, which goes by the market name of “Mom’s Chicken Extra Thin Cutlets” was discovered during a routine sampling by federal officials. Officials said the product never entered the marketplace, though other products were produced on the same line without clean up.

Listeria is a dangerous bacterial infection that can sicken people with weakened immune systems and cause miscarriages in pregnant women. So far there have been no reports of illness associated with this product.

If you suspect that you have contracted an illness through contaminated food, the defective product attorneys at Breslin and Breslin may be able to assist you in filing a claim seeking a recovery for your losses.
